I have cloud dreams on a sunny day.
I just want to go out and play.
To experience the freedom I had when I was young,
and there wasn’t so much work to be done.
I remember days in Tennessee,
and think about how it used to be.
My sister and I would run around,
until we fell right to the ground.
And then we’d look at the clouds above,
dreaming about all the things we love.
We imagined faces and animals while singing songs.
Time went by so quickly but also never lasted so long.
We stayed outside throughout the day,
until the sun’s shadow cast away.
Then as the moon shared it’s glow that night,
We watched through our window as angels danced in the light.
A memory to hold true as Spring comes again,
with the message to treasure time, family, and friends.
