Going to the trolley line
along my merry way
I had gotten into a routine,
but noticed something different today.
A busload of people
arrived at my stop.
Some of them I had seen before
and others I had not.
The schedule has changed again.
There is construction on the tracks.
I wonder how long it will be
until I get my routine back.
Street lights along the tracks
will provide for safer travels.
It delivers a little inconvenience now
and leaves some passengers frazzled.
But I am a firm believer
that everything happens for a reason.
And I’d rather have a longer wait
in Spring and Summer seasons.
Encounters started to come
with those along the new route
I am happy to have met some new friends
because it was fun to hangout.
Now the end is in sight
they moved to the final stage
SEPTA will get through it this by fall
and then turn another page.
We need to remember the connections we made
since the schedule prompted a new routine.
And realize that sometimes there is a bigger plan
with these little things that help us succeed.
